All of the items below were purchased at a dollar store.
I followed the recipe from the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. My kids love these muffins and I bake up a few batches at a time. These can be frozen and taken out of the freezer as needed. We eat them at breakfast, snack time, and on the go.
I try to rotate breakfast options so that my kids don't get burned out on a particular meal. Fortunately for me, my kids love to eat breakfast anytime of the day so I am always looking for more variety. All items were purchased at a local dollar store.
This simple breakfast is satisfying and costs less than $1 to make. Here's the breakdown:
Cream Cheese- $.15
Final Cost- $.90
I was really happy to find the Apple Cinnamon oatmeal that my kids like to eat at the $.99 store. The oatmeal had 6 packets, the plums were $.99lb and the o.j. was $.99 for 4 servings.
This basic breakfast of oatmeal, orange juice and plums is sure to stick to your ribs as the day goes by!
